    Ashraf Mashharawi

Story of a Child called Almasa, produced by the Aljazeera Documentary Channel, tells the story of a Palestinian girl named Almasa al-Sammouni who lost most of her family members during the Israeli offensive against Gaza that started in December 2008.
As she walks through the rubble, all that is left of her home, Almasa narrates how the Israeli army ambushed and held in arrest the whole family in their home in Gaza. After the Israeli soldiers opened fire on the family, leaving many dead and wounded, the Red Cross was not allowed to bring in help for three days. During this time, the 13-year-old girl would witness the death of her family with her own eyes.
